Wow, is it really a new year? This one is going to be amazing here at TCM. With preparations under way for our Youth and Chamber orchestras to travel to New York to perform at Carnegie Hall it is looking like an incredible year.
What is incredible is to have seen these kids start from scratch to rise to their current amazing level. They all started with “How to hold the violin correctly”, “The Train Gang”, “Table Position”, “The Elevator”, “Tic Toc” and about forty other exercises taught in our beginning violin class. Even Mozart and Beethoven had to start music lessons. This is where our kids begin and it’s awesome!
Registration for our beginning class is being held on Wednesday, January 30th from 4-6pm at our studio located at 28910 Rancho California Rd, Suite 102. At registration we will be measuring each student to ensure a correct fit with their violin as well as answering additional questions and collecting payment for the class. The first day of class is February 6th. We will have a 4:00pm class and a 5:00pm class.
Our beginning violin class is a 10 week group course that meets once a week for 45 minutes each class. During class we will also show the students other instrumental options (Cello, Viola, Bass). Our last class is April 10th after which we will be taking a one week break as our top two orchestras head to Carnegie Hall to perform at the Spring Festival. The week of April 22nd our students from beginning classes will start weekly 30 minute private lessons with one of our amazing teachers.
On May 11th our beginning class students will join our three student orchestras at TVHS in our spring concert celebrating our performance at Carnegie Hall. Our beginning violin students will all stand on stage at the beginning of the concert and perform a song they learned from beginning class. The audience for our concerts is usually around 300 - 400 people so it will be a great opportunity and experience.
Tuition for our class is $225.
