Temecula Conservatory of Music launches new "Music Mentor Program" designed for students helping students. Each Chamber Orchestra student (Mentor) will be paired up with a Junior Orchestra student (Mentee) for the semester.
The Chamber student will help with Suzuki songs and orchestra pieces that the Junior student would like help with. Chamber students will also attend at least one orchestra rehearsal with their mentee, and sit next to them to help teach their part.
Chamber students in this program will also receive a new TCM T-Shirt with our new Chamber Strings Mentor logo on the front.
" I am so excited about our new mentoring program. This is going to be a win-win for both the mentor and mentee and a win for our program as students from Chamber and Junior come together. The good will and camaraderie produced by these associations are going to unite our young musicians. Simply awesome! Through these new mentoring efforts, we bring the full resources of our school to help put our students on the path to success, and that is very exciting to see..", Brad Bohn, Founder/Director - TCM.
“I am so excited about the new chamber mentoring program! It will give the advanced chamber students an opportunity to share their skills with kids that are just learning their instrument. What a wonderful unifying program for the school to have students mentoring students. It will not only help the mentor learn to be a leader and an example, but it will motivate the student being mentored to take their instrument to the next level. I can’t wait to watch these kids grow and learn together! “ Camille Bohn, Co-Founder - TCM
The new mentoring program officially kicks off on February 1st.
